Thameside Media is a photography and contract publishing company based in Southwest London.
The company began trading in 2007 as an offshoot of Blue Island. The latter was a contract publisher that, from 1998 to 2008, produced about 30 titles for the major publishing houses Dorling Kindersley, Harper Collins and Parragon.
The directors of Thameside Media, Rosalyn Ellis and Michael Ellis, are a husband and wife partnership with two decades of experience in the creative industry. The pair first met at art school in the late 1980s, and over the years have collaborated on many publishing and media projects. They live near the river in Southwest London with their two children.
ROSALYN ELLIS
The commercial and editorial director of Thameside Media (and a director of Blue Island from 1998 to 2008), Rosalyn is also the author of The Real Life Guide to Birth and Babies and a part-time photographer with a special interest in photographing children.
MICHAEL ELLIS
The creative director of Thameside Media trained at Glasgow School of Art. He is the creator of the popular Londoner's Diaries, published by Thameside Media (formerly by Blue Island). Michael is a photographer, writer and editor, and his main areas of interest are art and architecture, and food and drink.
