COMMISSIONING
We have considerable experience in commissioning specialist authors and consultants to provide text and editorial input. In particular, we can draw upon many excellent contacts in the realms of art, architecture, travel, food and drink, business consultation and publicity copywriting.
IMAGES
Photography is a big part of our work, and we now have a website devoted solely to photographic services at thameside:photography. We also use picture agencies and commission photographers and illustrators from our extensive contacts.
MAPPING
Another area in which we have developed an expertise is digital mapping, which we use for printed publications, online services and apps with GPS plug-ins. We have created a dedicated website called maproom for selling base maps of the British Isles ready for easy styling.
EDITORIAL
Editorial input is vital right from the start of a project, and we have a proven ability to structure content imaginatively and coherently. And when it comes to delivering the final product, we maintain high editorial principles in terms of factual accuracy, spelling, grammar and the style of language adopted.
DESIGN
Similarly with design, the layout and typography have to respond effectively to the brief, fit into the overall concept for the project and work hand in hand with the text. We work with many different designers in response to the distinct needs of each project.
WEB & APP DEVELOPMENT
We create dynamic websites and apps, either as stand-alone developments or part of multi-platform projects. Building on our cartographic and digital geo-tagging experience, we have launched a service selling vector map bases to cartographers, designers and editors. The initial launch covers maps of Britain and Ireland, with more countries in the pipeline.
